Durian prolongé

Eh bien, à en croire ce billet, le projet Durian/Sintel vise maintenant la fin de juin pour finaliser le film. Plutôt que de dire Durian est «retardé» (parce qu’on a bien hâte de voir le résultat, après tout), je suppose que l’on devrait voir ça d’un autre angle. Durian est «prolongé». Je présume qu’ils ont eu assez de soutien financier cette année pour se permettre d’avoir plus d’artistes à bord, plus longtemps. Ou alors ils se sont dit qu’il leur faudrait plus de temps pour réaliser ma suggestion de faire une parodie de Thriller.

While I admire RMS‘ stance and resolve, the whole “Mono can’t be trusted because there’s submarine patents” argument isn’t worth crap. If you view software patents as a legitimate entity, any software is at risk (including OGG Theora, the Linux kernel and its alleged “235 infringements” by Microsoft, the Samba project, OpenOffice.org, mplayer, and probably even Specto).

Who thought that using a SQLite database (what I refer to as a nuclear-equipped walking death-mobile) to manage everything (including bookmarks) in Firefox (or other apps) was a clever idea?

Dans la même ligne de pensée qu’Antistress, je manifeste à mon tour mon allégresse d’avoir le droit fondamental de modifier mes logiciels libres pour les rendre plus agréables à mon utilisation (et possiblement en faire bénéficier les autres).
